This photo shows a potato gang at Charles Buck’s Farm, Moulton Marsh.
Most of the female workers are wearing the traditional Lincolnshire Bonnet. The bonnets were handmade and each area had its own particular design. The Bonnet served as a ‘sun hat’ with lengths of fabric extending to the shoulders to protect the neck.
