The Oat Sheaf Inn, Deeping Fen 1948

This photo is of the Oat Sheaf Inn, Deeping Fen.  It was actually situated on the main road in Deeping St Nicholas at the very Border with Deeping Fen, near to where Randalls Garage is today.

This was a Soames Brewery pub that was sold to Steward & Patteson in 1949. Closed October 1957.

  1. I would love to get more information on this property.
Myself and my wife are living in it at the moment, and have been for a short time.
Of course a lot has changed, but I love knowing all I can about any place I have lived , and live in.
I have found items when doing work especially in the grounds.
I want to keep the remaining features that do remind me of the older building.
    Any help would be appreciated.
