Former Police Station and Sessions House Spalding

This photo shows the former Police Station and the Sessions House at the Sheep Market, Spalding.

The Sessions House is a massive stone structure in the form of a castle and is now a Grade II Listed Building.
It was built between 1842 – 1843 by Charles Kirk, and was erected at a cost of £6,000. It opened on the 30th June 1843.

The two-storey brick police station was built in 1857-8.
