Hall Place looking into New Rd., Spalding
Not sure of the date but it’s relatively recent. Interesting to see how the businesses have changed.

I can’t date this picture, but in the 1960s the shop on the left, with the clock, was a shoe shop (Timsons, of Timpsons?), and next to it was Tom Fryer’s tailors shop (later a travel agency). In the background, is it a pub called the White Swan? The stone building next to Laws butchers was Kingstons auctioneers and estate agents. When I was a lad the shoe shop had one of those foot x-ray machines, later deemed to be dangerous.
