Early photo of Holbeach Fire Brigade

   My Great Grandfather George Henry Squires served in the Fire Brigade. He was landlord of the Talbot Inn Holbeach in the 1890s and early 1900s. His daughter had a large photograph of the Brigade on her wall which may have been this one. I remember seeing it as a child. He met his wife Edith Law when she played piano in one of the Holbeach pubs which may have been the same one they stabled the horses for the Brigade which I imagine is the one in this photograph.
